Teaching literature with the collaboration of language teaching to technical students

چکیده
In the present scenario teaching methods made a lot of difference in the area of language and literature teaching in English courses. In the 1970s, the teaching of literature was becoming detached from the teaching of language mainly because of the traditional approaches like Grammar Translation Method. New methods in language teaching led to the role of literature in language learning being seriously downplayed. English literature continued to lose its place in the ELT curriculum with the rise of communicative language teaching in the 1980s. But literary texts provide the authentic information and also provide the understanding of the lives and cultures. This paper mainly concentrated on how to imbibe the human values to technical students by using literary texts with the collaboration of language teaching (Task based approach). Key words-Collaboration of language teaching, technical students, human values, approach.
